One Of Those Days (Ft. Tom Jordan) -- Matias Malagardis, Ax T, Flower Bones

A four-way collaborative track, created from four separate spaces seems quite fitting for this slightly turbulent year of 2020, which is exactly what Matias Malagardis, Ax T, Flower Bones and Tom Jordan have set to achieve with their new collective track; One Of Those Days.

Released on July 25th, One Of Those Days’ creative process begun pre-lockdown; led in part by Madrid-born singer-songwriter and producer Matias Malagardis — who wrote the chords, beat, and main chorus melody. The track was left to rest for a few months, until Spanish singer-songwriter Ax T and British artist Flower Bones continued the creative process on through lockdown; offering two contrasting yet complimentary vocal parts, each adding their own personal flair to the track. To add that little extra something, featured guitarist Tom Jordan adds further strength to the track; contributing his skilful yet effortless talents with an accomplished and flowing solo, amongst various chordal delights throughout.

Ax T’s soft vocals fill your ears from the first note, with the soon-to-be familiar chorus making itself immediately known. Coupled with a steady, persistent beat and gentle, arpeggiated synth; the beginning of the track brings us in nicely, welcoming Flower Bones’ warm, honest vocals for the first verse. Tom Jordan’s tasteful melodies on guitar is an appreciated addition to the mix; boasting his talent for merging popular influences of RnB, Jazz and Hip-Hop through chords and a short but sweet solo mid-track — adding harmonically rich, textural layers to the collaborative song.

Harmonically and melodically rich throughout, Matias Malagardis, Ax T, Flower Bones and Tom Jordan express their individual talents through One Of Those Days; from clean, tasteful production to lyrical, vocal goodness, and from satisfying chords to instrumental flair — each musician in this collective track shows expertise within their own right. With lyrics reflecting a want to relax and enjoy ones own company, One Of Those Days achieves the widespread vibe felt through the majority of us during this long period of lockdown; a track perfect for quarantine, yet showing a connectivity between artists despite distance.
